Term 6 Newsletter no. 1    11.06.2021

Welcome back everybody to the final term of the school year.  The children have been really enjoying the warm weather at last and finding out about staying safe in the sun, when its ok to take your shoes off and when you need to make sure you have them on; and, how we follow our lovely key group flags for group times each day.

At this time of year we often see our older children testing their physical confidence and challenging themselves to jump further, run faster and climb higher; and, in this case almost take off!

What a lovely image of a child ready to leave the nursery school nest!

Meanwhile our new starters are learning the rules and routines well and learning to help each other, overcome problems and make sure that everyone keeps themselves safe.

We are keeping news short for this week, but please make sure you read the dates for your diary below as these are important ones.

Dates for your diary

Wednesday 16th June 2021 – Heather from Darryl Everett will be with us all day to take black and white photos of the children.  She manages to capture natural and joyful images of each child as they play.  All photos will be available, with no obligation, to buy in different formats.  Please let us know if you do not wish for your child to be photographed.

Wed 23rd June 2021 – We will be having a morning visit from Mrs Taylor from St Marys Primary School. This is the first of our visits from local Primary School Reception Teachers, who come to this setting in order to meet the children who be in their classes in September.  We will let you know in good time for each visit.

Reminders

Please apply sun cream to your child each day if the weather forecast is for sunshine.  Children need to wear tops which cover their shoulders and robust shoes (no flip flops please)

Please remember we have a no nuts policy at nursery school.  It is essential that no food is sent in lunch boxes or otherwise which contain any type of nuts.

This includes peanut butter and chocolate spread in sandwiches.

Best wishes for a good weekend
